Hannah
I’ve been blogging about words and books at Word Lily since March 2007.
I am inspired by schooling. I love education, and I find it difficult to narrow down which degree I’d like to pursue next, or which I should get if I had to choose only one.
I am passionate about communication, in all forms really, although I am most interested in (and knowledgeable of) written communication. I love books, and I dream of writing novels. I’m trained in journalistic writing and editing.
I’m also passionate about language and languages. The differences and similarities excite me.
I am passionate about the arts. I knew I wanted to marry an artist. My heart thrills when someone calls me an artist.
I love working with fiber and yarn, crafting and creating new things from raw materials.
I am passionate about China. I don’t really know why, I just am — and I was this way before it was hip, before China was in the news semi-regularly.
And I am passionate about social justice. I try to live intentionally, conscious of how my choices and actions impact others. My heart is broken by the pain of others, by the injustice in this world.

I’m in my very late twenties and my passion is reading. Part of the reason I love reading so much is because books have the power to change lives and the way we think and feel about things.
Professionally, I help adults with their reading skills and English language skills and in my spare time I enjoy reading, blogging, watching TV, chatting with friends, and pondering the mysteries of life.
My personal faith is a driving motivator in my desire to see justice in the world. My belief in story and its power to change us, to make us care, to inspire compassion and move us to action is my motivator in working on this challenge.
I blog regularly at My Friend Amy and with my mom and sister at The Friendly Book Nook.

I’m a mother of two young boys who I love and adore and they keep me running around like crazy as they get into trouble faster than I can clean up the last mess.
I received my BFA in Photography. I have always been influenced by the visual and enjoy being creative. I adore gardening, am a Master Gardener and love seeing something beautiful created out of nothing.
My husband and I have always enjoyed festivals of any kind, trying new foods, watching movies and playing video games. Our dream vacation is to go to Thailand where my husband lived for two years.
I have always been a reader and can not remember a time where books didn’t play a role in my life. I’ve been blogging about books for two years at the Maw Books Blog and love how it keeps me connected with the larger world.
I have always been drawn to literature that teaches me about the world, different people and different cultures. I am always saddened when I learn of injustice and am reminded how my life is so blessed in comparison to others. Last fall, with the help of my fellow bloggers, we raised more than a $1,000 for Darfur. I believe in the power of the individual and know that we all can make a difference.
