I have read and reviewed two books so far this month. The first is a book about Islam and a call for change. It is more about religion itself than it is about religious freedom, but she does discuss other religions and the tolerance of those religions so I thought I would count it.

My second book is both spiritual and environmental, but it does discuss the religions of older cultures and how they differ from mainstream western culture. A main point about that discussion was the tolerance that used to exist and when and how that changed.

I am looking forward to reading more, and to seeing what everyone else is reading!

I read In the Presence of My Enemies by Gracia Burnham. The tale of their life in captivity was very interesting. I didn’t see it as a fight for religious freedom. To me it seemed more about getting money for the Burnhams because they were Americans. Still a good book.
